[ charlie's in a cute red sundress... he hooves are visible. she sees adolphe and heads over, a bit in his personal bubble thanks to affection week (tm) ]

He doesn't enjoy the personal bubble intrusion and he leans a little away despite affection week. ]

[ well she is a demon.... her feetsies weren't visible before this but her tail and horns were ]

[ she doesn't seem to notice yet, just like she hasn't noticed she intruded on his bubble in the first place ]

[ same, sis. freaking same. Adolphe's expression seems to lean towards that sentiment, but it looks normal for his ever-frowning look on his face. ]

[ There's a younger boy around this part of heaven, looking something like this (on the right). He really doesn't look much different from the current Adolphe from the obvious pre-physical maturity and his hair is just a tiny bit longer that it's tied back.

And of course, this being Adolphe, he never carries around his phone. However, there's a chao following him--his own. He seems to be weirded out by it and is trying to run away from it, but it keeps following! Waddling menacingly, even!

So he ends up in front of the Always Hotel and tries to close the door on this poor little chao. ]

[ well, charlie is in the always hotel, just in the lobby, and looks up upon his arrival ]

Oh! Hello!

[ and then watches him try to close the door on the chao and rushes to stop him ]

Oh, no, please don't do that! You might hurt it.

[ He almost jumps when he sees Charlie, absolutely startled. Good news, the door is open enough to let the chao in. Bad news, the kid is extremely wary of both. ]

What in Hades... Don't come any closer.

[ He brandishes the sword. It's the same size and everything, but he wields it with ease despite having shrunk a bit. ]

[ charlie takes a step back, putting her hands up placatingly, trying to look as non-threatening as possible. also thank god the chao got in safely ]

[ anyway, charlie is out for a walk with chaolie, getting suspiciously close to a reflective surface. oh no! what will happen!! ]

[ this might be a bit awkward since the last time they spoke 1 on 1 he was a child ]

[ It might be a little awkward, but it's not because Charlie met him as a child, but rather the things he told her when he was a child. And the fact that memories are showing up on any reflective surface that Adolphe has been avoiding places that obviously have them in big sizes. He doesn't care if these memories play out in small surfaces, because they can be ignored. ]

... Fine, I guess.

[ He's always tired.

Well, little did Adolphe know, there's a memory playing out (25:50 - 34:13 if the code doesn't work). ]

[ charlie watches this play out with an increasingly distressed expression, until he's rescued and taken in. a brief look of relief crosses her face, which is short-lived as the memory goes on. after it's finished playing out, charlie speaks up, quietly ]

Adolphe, is it alright if I hug you?

[ at least she's asking permission ]

[ She's asking for permission, but. ]

No.

[ He doesn't want a hug. It just feels like pity, which only annoys him more with the fact that this memory just got shown. A scowl appears on his face as he gets his sword out to shatter the glass where the reflection comes from. Goodbye, memory. ]

[ hello she came to find him. vibe is concerned ]

[ There's something loud going on towards the church. If she heads over there and peeks inside the door, she will see the the interior of the church ruined with glass everywhere, shattered windows and glass art, disorderly pews, and slashed paintings of axolotls.

The emotion share can only be described as something that would look disgusting like a sludge, but it feels like nothing, like the void. The vibes are overwhelming.

Congratulations! With an 18, she will not be attacked, but Adolphe doesn't look exactly welcoming either with the sword in his grip. ]

[ Adolphe is at the orchard, picking an apple. Despite recent murder, this is not a sin apple. His back is towards Charlie and he reaches up to pick another one and drops it in a basket.

He looks normal.

He also doesn't turn around to look at Charlie. ]
