Everything else seems to be free here so far... what kind of afterlife would have currency?

Afterlife apparently has inflated sandwiches too.

[ He has no idea what a spa entails, so he's just like. A bowl? For what? Waterboarding???

His mind is so grim. someone help him ]

Aren't there people who would usually do this for us?

But I think I can still pick it up... The ladies in Coene ended up giving me a lot of beauty tips whenever I helped fulfill their requests.

But also, Adolphe is curious. Has Yves done that? He doesn't remember anything different even when he put his hair down either. (flashbacks to them stripping their wet shirts to see the reliver tattoo on Hugo's back) ]

I didn't always have the time... but I do like taking care of my hair. I'm a little particular about my appearance [ both for trauma reasons and just for fun ] so it's nice to pamper every now and then, right?

I'm gonna wash your hair! And then I'm going to give you the hand lotions that Monsieur Lucas and I picked out for you when we were here.

Why are there separate lotions for different parts of the body again? I can understand face and everything else, but hands too?

[ Give him the spa treatment... make him realize Things, Yves. ]

Your hands don't get dry?

[ he'll make adolphe sit down in the spa chair, but then he'll automatically go to pick up his hand... he is far too comfortable with adolphe, he's at least still in the 'can i touch you' phase with other people

his thumb traces over where adolphe's inevitable sword calluses are ]

In the winter especially, it can crack and ache. It's good to have them for your hands especially if you wash them a lot after yard work or weapon maintenance.

[chrysanths]

[ He has too many calluses. It's not like Adolphe minds the touch either, because it's Yves and Yves will just be Yves, the boy he ignored for months on end and finally cracked through persistence. ]

Wouldn't it get slippery?

[ He said after your tasks, you fool. ]

Do you think that lotion never dries?

[chrysanths]

No, but they last long, don't they?

[ He's not that dumb!!! Please!!! ]

They can... but it'd still be fine as long as you put on lotion after you're done with all your tasks. Then it won't get in the way.

[ gives adolphe's hand a little squeeze even without affection week because every week is affection week with yves, and then he just lets go ]

Relax for me, okay? I'm gonna get your hair wet and put some of this nice stuff I found in it.

[ don't let your drowning fear kick in, adolphe ]

[ But the question is, is he ever done? ]

[ He'll lie down on this chair? And position himself so that Yves can do it easily. He's definitely not used to someone else doing it for him though... ]

[ yves will make sure that the water running is warm so that it's not uncomfortable but as he peers down at adolphe... ]

You can close your eyes, Adolphe. I've gotcha.

[ and his touch is gentle! it's not quite as practiced as an actual hair stylist but he doesn't get water in adolphe's face and that's good enough ]
